Warmline

What is a warmline?

According to Mad in America, "a warm line is an alternative to a crisis line that is run by “peers,” generally those who have had their own experiences of trauma that they are willing to speak of and acknowledge." At Monarch House, all of our peer supporters who answer our warmline have lived experience, and our calls are not traced regardless of the subject matter discussed. This allows us to run a completely anonymous support line with people who have experienced crises or other life interrupting events who use those experiences to connect with callers.

What can I expect when I call?

An open and available person on the other end of the line. Each call, just like each caller and each staff member, is different. The one shared experience in each call is that it's a conversation between two people with lived experience in challenges related to mental health, substance use, or other life interrupting events.

Who can call and when?

Adults living in the state of Wisconsin.

If you live in Wisconsin but don't have a Wisconsin number, leave us a message and we'll get back to you as soon as we can. We are also available 24-hours a day, 365 days per year, so feel free to call in whenever it works best for you.
