Bringing Voluntary Peer Support Directly to You!
Our Mobile Outreach Peer Support (MOPS) program meets people where they are —at home, in the community, or wherever support is needed.
The WIMA Mobile Outreach Peer Support (MOPS) Program is designed to voluntarily meet people exactly where they are—at home, in the community, or wherever support is needed. Our Peer Supporters bring lived experience with mental health and substance use challenges, offering a unique kind of understanding that builds trust and connection.
At the heart of our program is compassionate, judgment-free support. We provide a safe space for individuals to share their stories, find encouragement, and explore options without stigma. Our peers connect with each person, offering not only emotional support but also help navigating essential community resources such as housing, healthcare, treatment, food assistance, and recovery supports.
The MOPS team plays a key role in crisis prevention and harm reduction, offering timely support that can divert individuals from emergency rooms or justice system involvement. By showing up early with empathy and care, we reduce risks while promoting safety and dignity.
Ultimately, our mission is to strengthen community well-being by helping individuals find hope, regain independence, and chart their own path toward healing. All services are provided free of charge and confidentially, ensuring that support is accessible to anyone who needs it.
